These brushes have been extensively reviewed on YouTube and have become a hot topic of discussion in regards to the overall quality and how they compare to MAC brushes. Some of the "gurus" on YouTube who have reviewed these brushes very favorably are those who also do paid reviews which has created an increasing sense of distrust amongst the community. The brushes arrived in a beautiful leather wrap. The brushes are all very well constructed, the bristles were not kinked in any way. They are all thick and well shaped. The bristles are all clasped with a high quality metal casing, and all the brushes are numbered. The handles are comfortably fat. The finish on the handles are comparable to MAC brushes. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the brushes, and satisfied with my purchase. The only issue I had was with the SS150 brush, the biggest brush, which I use for applying foundation. The brush lost a lot of bristles in application. I was a little dissapointed, as I purchased these brushes to do makeup for a wedding, and removing random bristles is distracting and time consuming. I love my MAC brushes and after seeing a lot of people using the Sigma brushes on YouTube I decided to order the full set with the brush roll. I was so excited to receive them! They are simply fabulous...soft, tightly packed, with NO loose bristles! I use them interchangeably with my expensive MAC ones. If you order the full set you will save yourself hundreds of dollars and get a quality comparable product. I wish I had known about them beofre I spent so much on my MAC ones! I need to order the small kabuki style brush...I wish that had ben included in the set and a spot for it was allowed for in the brush roll. Thanks Sigma! |
